Are Sex Dolls Waterproof? Bathing, Showering and Cleaning Safely
Sex dolls are water-resistant, not waterproof. You can take one into the shower and clean it with water freely — but you must never fully submerge it or let water reach the steel skeleton and neck joint, where it causes rust and rot that no repair fixes. Can you shower with a sex doll?
Yes, with care. A warm (not hot) shower is fine for the skin, and many owners find it the easiest way to clean a full body. Keep the head tilted so water doesn't run into the neck cavity, support the weight (wet silicone plus a steel skeleton is heavy and slippery), and never leave it standing in a filling bath. The skin loves water; the skeleton does not.
Why can't you submerge a doll?
Because water that reaches the internal skeleton has nowhere to drain and everywhere to corrode. A submerged doll wicks water into the neck bolt, the joint channels and any seams, and trapped moisture rusts steel and degrades TPE from the inside — slow, invisible, and terminal. This is the number-one avoidable way owners ruin a doll, and it's entirely preventable.

How do you dry a doll properly after cleaning?
Pat the surface with a microfibre towel, then air-dry cavities with the doll upright or the channel open — a small fan speeds it up. TPE bodies get a light dusting of renewal powder once fully dry. Are any dolls more water-tolerant than others?
